Image reads:

Indecisive winter days do not know the difference between a wool coat and a crop top.

How could they?

Cheap fabric hides my body in pieces leaving gaps in areas that stir the imagination.

I wonder if the thighs of my family history are dressed the same, uncovered slowly from the fabric carefully stitched together by the thin red thread of a blood line.

Marissa Childers (she/her)

My name is Marissa Childers, a proud Korean-American adoptee, lover of all things gluten, and firm believer of connection through food and drink. I am a southern girl to my core as I have grown up and reside in Atlanta, Georgia. When I am not working as a barista or baker, I am spending time with loved ones (namely my dog), catching up on sleep, and finding ways to express the thoughts and emotions that swirl my mind whether it be through motion or through a more traditional medium. I am excited and nervous to share those moments with you through writing and hope to continue to make space for the unclear moments as they come. Thank you for parsing through this Glitter Cat newsletter, it means so much to all of us. You are a star.
