What - An all-expenses training program to prepare competitors for the United States Barista Championships.

Who - All marginalized coffee people (communities of color, disabled, 2SLGBTQIAP+, neurodivergent, marginalized gender) planning to compete in the Barista Competition for the 2023 season are encouraged to apply! From seasoned competitors to brand new baristas, Glitter Cat is for people of all skill levels!

When - Trainees will be flown to Portland, OR on the afternoon/evening of Thursday, October 13, 2022, and will return home the morning of Monday, October 17, 2022.

Where - The Barista Bootcamp is hosted at Coava Coffee Roasters.

Bootcamp layout - the weekend is filled with various training modules to prepare Glitter Cats to compete in the upcoming Qualifying Competitions. All education is led by World and US Champions and coaches. Throughout the weekend there will be community building, exploring the local coffee scene, public events, and a very powerful Gender Action Learning Systems workshop led by Atlas Coffee Importers. Trainees will be required to show proof of vaccination from COVID-19 and masking will be required during bootcamps.
