Community Events
The Glitter Barista Championships (GBC) are an independent series of community-focused, competitive events. These events are open to everyone to attend and competition spots are reserved for folx who self identify as a member of an underrepresented, marginalized, or vulnerable community in the coffee industry (women, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, BIPOC, people with disabilities.) All attendees agree to abide by the Glitter Cat Code of Conduct.

We have big plans for 2021
A global pandemic has paused most events nationwide and worldwide. To continue to foster community through competition, we are hosting a digital competition and planning a big party during Expo 2021!

Since October 2018. we have put on events including barista-focused competitions, alternative brew methods, a costume party based around roasting theory, and a mini-carnival during 2020 national competition!
