Existential Drip

NICE TO MEET YOU…
My name is Marissa, I am a proud Korean American Adoptee, a firm believer of connection over food and drink, and a lover of all things coffee. Whether it be craft, community, or cultural significance, you can catch me studying up and immersing myself in anything having to do with this comforting beverage that connects us all.

Apart from barista-ing and working in a shop setting, I have taken a dive into the world of roasting, sensory development, and training and would love to share these parts of my life. I am a naturally curious person and have dedicated myself to learning more where I can and improving areas in which I do not know a lot.

For this month's Glitter Cat roaster box release, it falls under national adoption month. For me, this is a month that is bittersweet and highly vulnerable, but that is precisely the reason why I am gracious to share it with you. Coffee and adoption are both things that make up my identity in different ways. Adoption in that, as I get older, it is a part of my life I am able to hide more. It is something that has always made me feel "othered" as I was growing up, but it is also a blanket I can wrap myself in and call home. Coffee on the other hand was once an occupation, but has since become a community in many ways. I am thankful for how these two things have come together to inform who I am as a person and am grateful to share these parts of my life with you.

Thank you Atlas for sponsoring the coffee!
